Maine Electrical Institute is a trade school that focuses on providing only the courses relevant to becoming an electrician. It has in-person training with labs and classes that run from September through June in a 3,500-square-foot training area. MEI offers a self-paced correspondence program that satisfies the schooling requirements for licensure and graduation for those who cannot make it to the Portland location.
